NameCheaps private email DNS setting for AWS Route53
Hi folks
If you have bought a private email from Namecheap and you have DNS hosted with AWS Route 53 then in order to work your private email, you will have to add MX (mail exchange) record in AWS Route 53.
Steps:
1. Log in to AWS. choose your hosted zone for which your DNS is configured.
2. Create a new record with a simple routing policy. choose "Define simple record"
3. Choose record type of "MX" and value/route traffic type to "IP address or another value depending upon the record type" and add following in the text box
10 mx1.privateemail.com
10 mx2.privateemail.com
Now save changes and wait for 5 min. That's all.
Once create a mailbox from NameCheap and try sending mail to that address. You should receive your mail.
